August 1

We had a bit if a scare last night. They thought he was having heart problems, hooked him up to all sorts of machines, He is fine his morning, I think it was a reaction to the gin he drank. No more acohol for him. We were at a good bye party and we made a quick exit to our room. It seems to be a tradidtion to buy pizza for everyone when you are keaving,

On the lighter note, i went shopping with Amanda 26 year old from Kentucky, she is here with 5 year old daughter with Battens desease, We went to the Silk Market. A wild place they literally grab you to get you in there shops. i still am not very good at dickering. Amanda is good. There are not many people here now, More coming next week.

Gosh, what a scare with Cam. The silk factory sounds great. I am so glad that you have found someone to shop and go around with. I feel assured that you will be comfortabe negotiating in no time at all. Did you see any silk that you would even be interested in?

YEA.....I totally did.

So, I am catching up on your blog. My you amaze me Miriam! I bet you ARE having a hard time with the time change and the WEATHER...OMG, 100/100 is killer. At least you can go to Walmart. Love it! You're cracking me up.

I'm so glad that Chris was there with you to start this new phase of your and Cam's lives. I'm sure that you will miss him, but it sounds as if you have taken that winning personality of yours and found someone to hang with; and I bet you'll be bartering away in no time at all!!!

I hope that Cam is doing better today. Hey, I DON'T drink gin.....but tell Cam that I'll take one for the team, and we'll all make sure that the proper amount of gin is consumed on a daily basis in order to keep Cam out of trouble!

Take care of yourself ~ thinking of you daily, and hope that all will be well.

Hi Cam and Miriam,

I am catching up on your time in China. Hope all is going smoothly after the recent scare. And hope that the stem cell treatment is really successful. Sounds like you are enjoying the sights and sounds of another culture. Had a quick visit with Steve Boice and crew as they spent last night in Erie. They are now headed on toward Toledo. Take care. The blog is great!! Sandy

Hi Miriam and Cam

Hope things are still going along OK. Better to keep him hooked up to the monitor for awhile I guess. That gin does bad things, vodka is better. A caretaker for $12 sounds good . Maybe you can teach him English and bring him home. I'm sure you can learn how to haggle with the people over there. Do they mostly speak English or something else. The weather people over here are keeping us up to date on your weather because of the Olympics. Have you received your tickets yet?? Hope they get there in time. When is Jenny coming? Take care
